Live from the Festival Stage at the Sunset Beach Pride Festival on August 2nd, Kelly and the Kellygirls will energize and electrify Vancouver's Pride celebrations with a dynamic performance from their new album, Modernism.
Launching into international success in 2007 with the YouTube sensation, "Catherine Deneuve and the Deus ex Machina," songwriter and leader of the group, R. Kelly Clipperton, has quickly found an audience that identifies with his Latin-influenced, beat-driven, multi-lingual and strikingly optimistic music. Kelly and the Kellygirls's new album is an energetic collection of songs that mixes flamenco guitar, sonic horns, stirring rhythms and Kelly's deep baritone voice.
After performing throughout Europe and the United States, Kelly and the Kellygirls come to Vancouver to add their unique sound to Vancouver Pride's celebrations.
