About:

Picnic in the Park is back and is being hosted by Mr. Gay Canada 2019 himself, Josh Rimer! Join us at Second Beach for family friendly activities after the Pride Run & Walk 2019.

Originally called the "Teddy Bear Picnic," this event has a notable history stretching back decades. Unusual for the time, the Teddy Bear Picnic allowed LGBTQ2+ community members to gather in an outdoor, public space. We are excited to continue the legacy of this event and welcome you and your family to come.

Picnic in the Park is beside beautiful Second Beach and adjacent to a playground. Families welcome!

We invite you to grab a post-event drink at the new Stanley Park Brewing Brewpub - or grab a mid-day drink and return!

Bring a picnic or treat yourself at one of our amazing food trucks serving up an array of dishes and desserts with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options - Meet2Eat, El Cartel, Chickpea, Roasted Revolution Food Truck, The Praguery, Come Arepa, JAPADOG and Dolce Amore.
