2018 Pride Guide - Book NOW

After a successful joint venture last season, the Vancouver Pride Society has completed negotiations with Glacier Media for publishing rights of the 2018 Official Pride Guide. The annual publication is the definitive guide showcasing stories and events which take place throughout Vancouver leading up to Pride Week July 30 - August 5 2018.

"It's our 40th Anniversary so the Official Pride Guide will be extra special this year," says Andrea Arnot, Co-Executive director. Improvements are in the works for the 2018 edition, including editorial features which will focus on the history of Vancouver's queer and trans communities. "It is vital to provide LGBTQAI2S+ communities with a voice in the Official Pride Guide," says Arnot.

Vancouver Pride Society's Community Partnership Coordinator, Kaschelle Thiessen, has started reaching out to community groups about the Official Pride Guide. As usual, the guide will include an expanded section for community listings. Contact Kaschelle at to pitch your story submission.

Glacier Media Publisher Gail Nugent spoke of the partnership. "We look forward to working together to show our support of such a vibrant community festival. Net sales support Pride's accessibility programs, including accessible viewing and narration for the visually impaired during the parade, as well as ASL interpreters at Sunset Beach."

The 2018 edition of the guide will also be available in a digital format which is estimated to produce an extra 250,000 readers. Vancouver Pride Society will integrate the guide into its official mobile app. Sales are open and small business owners are encouraged to book ad space NOW and pay in May. It's a great way to showcase your business while supporting Vancouver Pride. For information and advertising rates contact us at
