Pride Run & Walk 2019 raised $17,780

Pride Run & Walk 2019 raised $17,780

The Vancouver Frontrunners, a community focused LGBTQ2+ non-profit sports club and the organizers of the annual Pride Run & Walk, raised a record breaking $17,780.82 for local charities and scholarships this year! This brings the total amount raised to over $124,000 over the years.

Vancouver Pride Society was proud to one again partner with the Vancouver Fronrunners on the 15th Annual Pride Run & Walk on July 21, 2019. The 2019 beneficiaries for 2019 include Out in Schools ($9,033) and the LOUD Foundation Pride Youth Scholarship Fund ($8,747).

Four years ago, Pride Run & Walk became one of the first sporting events to remove the binary gender question and include both 'non-binary' and 'prefer not to answer' as possible responses. Each year the event has seen an increase in non-binary participants

Pride Run & Walk was born out of Vancouver Frontrunner's desire to give back to the community. Their main goal is to raise funds that benefit local community members, the second is to have fun! Pride Run & Walk is put on by a local community sports club and a team of volunteers, and this year was a true testament to their goals.
