Media

Media is welcome and encouraged to cover the 2009 Pride Parade, Festival, and events. Special permission is not required to take pictures or write about Pride, but Media Passes will get you perks! Passes will allow representatives backstage access and preferred access to the parade route and VIP judging station.

Interviews may be scheduled by emailing  media@vancouverpride.ca or calling our office at 604-687-0955. Grand Marshalsʼ interviews will be scheduled by mid-July. Contact us to ensure your organization receives interview time. No offsite interviews and no unscheduled interviews with Grand Marshals will be provided on Parade Day.

Media Accreditation
To obtain your media accreditation pass, please print and fill out the 2009 media accreditation application and return it by mail or fax for approval by July 24, 2009. Media Passes for Pride Day will only be available for pick up from our office, 603 – 1033 Davie Street, from July 27th to 31st between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Media Passes will not be available for pick up on Pride Day. Unauthorized media will be refused access to secure areas. Media passes are non-transferable and must be returned upon request by an authorized Society representative.
