Biography |Ken Coolen
A natural event planner with a strong background in Food & Beverage management, Ken has thrown this energy into many events in Vancouver's gay community over the years. Logistics Coordinator for the AIDS Walk for eight years, Dining Room Coordinator for AccolAIDS since its conception, and recently Dining Room Coordinator for the Fowl Dinner; the list of Ken's accomplishments is as big as his heart. In his first year with the VPS, he was swiftly tapped to spearhead the 2008 Parade Committee. Excited to give something back to the great community that has provided many years of support and friendship, Ken is as delighted with the VPS as the rest of us are with him.

I have lived in the westend of Vancouver for over 25 years and is very passionate about the LBGTTQ Community . Have been in the Hospitality / Tourism industry for over 30 years, as a Hospitality Instructor, Travel Agent, various jobs in several major Hotels Chains, a key community volunteer, a widower, and a cancer survivor. Biography |Raigen D'Angelo
The award winning Alberta born Raigen D'Angelo has been living as a woman for well over 30 years. She was raised on a reservation and then moved from foster home to foster home in many very ultra-conservative towns and households in Alberta. As she chose to be Raigen she lost family and friends; but, never looked back. In spite of her somewhat tough journey she is a champion for human rights and works tirelessly to insure trans-people are included in the human rights code of BC and Canada, and hopes the young ones do not have to choose her path in life. She recently was recognized as 'Volunteer of The Year' and won 'Community Group of the Year' for TAS at the Xtra West Hero Awards and is in her second year on the VPS Board of Directors.
