Vancouver Pride Parade

Sunday August 1st, 2010 at 12:00pm

What began as a small protest march through the Davie Village has blossomed into a world-class Pride Parade attracting not only supporters within the LGBT community in Vancouver but our friends worldwide. The bigger we get, the more fun we have and the more we can showcase Canada’s proud diversity. Particularly dear to the hearts of the VPS is the fact that our Pride Parade can provide inspiration and courage to the LGBT community worldwide. Our Pride started as a brave peaceful protest (“We’re here! We’re queer!”) and has grown into a role model for LGBT communities who continue to fight hard for their human rights.

Spanning 20 blocks and attracting an audience of over 650,000 in 2010, the Pride Parade is Vancouver's premier celebration of culture and diversity. Come to the Parade to see what all the fuss is about!

Parade Route

In 2010, the Pride Parade will start in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The Parade begins at 12:00, Sunday August 1st at Robson and Thurlow, heads West down the hill to Denman street, follows Denman to Pacific and Beach Avenue and finishes at the Sunset Beach Festival Site.
