East Side Pride (more info)
Saturday June 26, 2010 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
This neighbourhood friendly event is held on the traditional ‘Stonewall’ weekend. Community organizations and funky artisans have a village of booths set up and the stage has live entertainment with musicians and dancers. Catch up with old friends and make new ones while your kids run and play. This is a grass roots event is in the heart of the East End.

Saturday July 17, 2010 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
This is a unique LGBT event at Playland. The crowd comes out wearing a read shirt and there’s and there’s a sea of red on rides at games and around the beer garden! Your favourite carnival games, rides, roller coasters, corn-dogs and candy floss are all there in a private area as well as live entertainment, stages and a private beer garden.

Saturday July 24, 2010 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
This is a popular summer’s event for Pride and those who like a picnic. An outdoor beer garden and a selection of DJ’s spin music throughout the day. There’s kid’s theatre, face painting, games, balloon and barbeque. Games of tug-a-war, the high heel shoe toss, the drag races or the watermelon eating contest provide for a great day with prizes and plenty of FUN!
Sunset Beach Pride Festival (more info)
Sunday August 1, 2010 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Celebrations continue after the Parade at Sunset Beach festival site. We have a crowd that reaches over 110,000 people in the park listening to live music by local performers and headliners on the Festival Stage. There are 125 booths with a diverse range of products and services with drinking and dancing at the beer garden.

Sunday August 1, 2010 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
The 2010 Pride Parade travels from Robson and Thurlow to Denman Street following along to Pacific and Beach Avenues ending at Sunset Beach Festival Site. There are 150 parade entries including colourful floats, musical marching bands, community groups and 600,000 spectators. Pride takes over the streets and rainbows fill the city at this is MUST SEE event!

Sunday August 1, 2010 9:00 pm to 1:00 am
A Youth dance party is held in a safe environment in partnership with Qmunity’s Gab Youth. There is an under 25 rule enforced at this drug/alcohol free party. Previous locations have included West End Community Centre and Holiday Inn.
