Board of Directors

Some VPS Board Directors can’t be shared on this page to protect their personal security and privacy.  They come from countries where homosexuality is criminalized by law, and having their information on this page places their lives at risk.

Feel free to contact office@vancouverpride.ca and we’ll forward your message to these individuals accordingly.

Become a Board Member

Vancouver Pride Society is seeking new Board members to help guide the organization through its next chapter.

This is a governance role — not an operational one. Board members are responsible for ensuring the society operates with integrity, transparency, and accountability to the communities we serve. If you're committed to upholding the values of equity, justice, and inclusion, we invite you to get involved.

Board membership is about leadership, not management.

You won’t be running day-to-day events or supervising staff — instead, you’ll help oversee the strategic direction of the organization, ensure fiscal responsibility, and uphold VPS’s mission and values at the highest level.

Interested in joining?

Take time to review our Board Terms of Reference, Bylaws, Annual Reports and Financial Statements. You’re also welcome to attend a board meeting to better understand how we work. Applications are accepted year-round, and all nominees must be members of VPS for at least 60 days before appointment.

We're Always Open:

At VPS, we accept Board Member applications year-round. The process may take several months, but it's all part of our commitment to building a diverse and skilled board. We value a wide range of expertise, from legal and financial to personnel management and governance skills.

Ready to Make a Difference?

To apply, fill out our Board of Directors Application Form and someone from our Nominations Committee will be in touch to follow up. Otherwise, if you have additional questions, feel free to reach out and we’d love to have a conversation with you.

We’re committed to building a board that reflects the diversity, wisdom, and brilliance of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities we serve.
